The Village of East Aurora/Town of Aurora Police Department exists to serve the residents of and visitors to the Village of East Aurora and the Town of Aurora. We are a multi-service organization with the purpose of protecting life and property, enforcing all laws, detecting and preventing crime and providing emergency service to our community. We respect the rights of all individuals and strive to provide the highest level of service and carry out our responsibilities with courtesy, diligence, and integrity.
East Aurora's 911 policy is if at anytime you feel that you have a police, fire or medical emergency DIAL 9-1-1. Please try to remain calm so that the Dispatcher is better able to assist you. Please note that the Public Safety Dispatcher taking the call may ask several more questions that may seem to consume a lot of time and not be relevant. Be assured, however, that the PSD is attempting to gather as much information as practical so that responding police, fire and EMS units are as prepared as much as possible to help you.

This number is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, office personnel are only available for your call Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm.
Police reports, accident reports (MV-104) and requests for criminal history checks can be obtained at the police station. Car crash reports can be obtained from www.crashdocs.org/. The police department will process requests for “ink” fingerprinting, however, the person getting fingerprinted will need to provide the fingerprint card(s). Lieutenant Patrick Welch is in charge of the Crime Prevention program of the Police Department. This program will provide speakers and other services related to crime prevention. Lieutenant Welch may be contacted at 652-1111.
In the Village of East Aurora there is no on street parking allowed from 2:00 am to 7:00 am from November 15th to April 1st pursuant to §249-24 of the Village Code. There is no public parking lot parking allowed from 2:00 am to 7:00 am. Please be mindful of certain areas along Main St. that prohibit parking beyond two hours everyday except Sundays and legal holidays between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
